What is Pipe Support?
Pipe Support is for transferring loads applied by the pipe to the supporting structures.
The weight of the passing pipe fitting and coatings (such as insulation materials) are the loads applied to the support. The main functions of pipe support include restraint, guidance, shock absorption and maintenance of a specific load.
If the support is used in very high or very low temperature conditions, insulating materials are used in the construction of this element.
The configuration of the pipe abutment depends on the loading and operating conditions of the piping system. Accordingly, pipe support is divided into rigid, spring and shock absorber types.
